All About SIUE and ME
Black Student Union
I a member of a student organization called Black student union. We are a student run organiztation that puts on various events throughout the year for our fellow peers. We also participate in various community service events on SIUE's campus and in the St. Louis and East St. Louis areas. We pride ourselves in accurately representing ourselves, our university, and our ethnicity in all that we do as individuals and an organization.
STAR's
I am also a member of a student organization called STARs which stands for STudents Assisting Recruitment. Our main job is to give tours to perspective students and their families. Because of the professional manner STAR members have exhibited, different departments have requested that STARs work thier events to repressent the SIUE student body. I have been a member for four years and now hole the social chair postion.
SIUE's Women Club Softball Team
For three years I was a member of the Women's Club Softball Team. In my last year of playing I was the Co-Vice president/ tresurer for the team. Our team was in the National Club Softball Association and had the opportunity to play teams all over the state of Illinois. We also entered seperate tournaments during both the fall and spring season to give us a good number of games per season. I joined club softball because I really enjoy the game and wanted to continue playing on a competive level.
